It’s not the time to be discussing opening borders. Covid is in the midst of an aggressive third wave. Political actions to force a timeline is irresponsible and immoral. Business and visitation will resume when it is logically safe to do so.

I listened to his announcement at the Rainbow bridge live. His concerns included US cottage owners. He failed to mention the stats for vaccinations directly across the border. Here they are from earlier this week. Less than 37% with first shots and less than 3% fully vaccinated!!
Border needs to stay closed! When it does reopen folks crossing need to have vaccine passport. My dad, 92 hasn’t seen my brother, who lives in the US, for over 15 months. We would love to see him but until more folks are vaccinated he needs to stay away. It’s that easy.

Honestly I'm all for proof of vacation for cross border travel. This also includes to across seas. You have to have certain vacations for certain countries anyways so why not this one?
