TORONTO — Tony Gee and Partners, engineering design specialists, is expanding its international business into Canada and opening a new office in Toronto. Tony Gee Canada will initially target the transportation and transit sectors, focusing on rail projects and contractor support for both permanent and temporary works, indicates a release, adding leveraging the robust engineering talent pipeline in the region, the company aims to create more than 30 technical jobs within the first four years of operation.

The company’s Canadian business expansion will be led by managing director Jon Powell, who has experience in delivering infrastructure projects and the team will also receive additional support from offices in the U.K., Hong Kong, Malaysia and the UAE. “I am very excited to be part of our latest venture into Canada,” said Powell in a statement. “This expansion enables us to share our design expertise, throughout the project lifecycle in a new market. Our team look forward to both working with existing clients on exciting projects and to introducing new ones to Tony Gee’s brand of proactive, innovative and efficient engineering.”
