Colorado. The Avalanche are one of the best in the West right now and I don’t see them sinking down the standings any time soon. With the young trio of Nathan McKinnon, Mikko Rantanen and Cale Makar at the core and a complementary crew of depth players surrounding them, Colorado feels like a club that’s going to be contending for a long time.
On the back end, they have two talented top-four defenders signed for half the decade in Ryan McDonagh and Victor Hedman, the latter of those two remaining a Norris Trophy-calibre talent. That doesn’t leave them with an exceptional amount of cap space to work with over that span but it does give Tampa a pretty lethal core to bring to the rink for most of these next 10 years. Other clubs with strong financial situations and talented young cores seem to have at least one position lacking in star power.
The Rangers have made six first-round picks in the past three drafts and though the highest of those picks, Kaapo Kakko, is having a miserable rookie season, better days are assuredly ahead. They’ve spent the past couple years rebuilding the prospect cupboard, but the reason to believe in the Rangers has more to do than just that.

Since all the team do skills competitions on there own,usually to raise money for a charity,the top finishers should get to go to the skills competition. Then we can really find out the best in the league instead of just the people playing in the All Star game.
How about restricting access to the NHL All Star Weekend to actual NHL players? They’ve turned this into a bloody 3 ring circus!! And no!!! We do not have to be more inclusive!!

😒 Breakaway relay where it’s a bunch of gimmicks/props defeats the point: wanting to see the best in the world show actual game skills (dekes/puck control) at the highest level. “Hey look at this insanely talented pro...using 2 sticks while wearing a goofy hat!” lame

Keep skills on Sat & game on Sun. I’d have regular season games end on the Friday & go into All Star wknd the next day so the players who are in it still get a decent break. It’s not fair that the NHL “stars” don’t get the break everyone else does but they probably need it more.
How about not needing every team to have a representative? So many players get snubbed because the bottom feeders need someone there. Why cant the top tier teams have 2 or 3 representatives each?
Put a player over a large pool of water. Other player shoot to hit the target and he falls. Fans get to pick the player who falls into water.

I think the NHL should scrap it, IMHO the only excitement these weekends garner, NHL, NBA, MLB, NFL is the home run derby & slam dunk, if most players were upfront I would bet the majority don't want to go, personally I don't watch any of them
