Vancouver Island’s Hotels and Resorts – the Re-Opening

As a way to welcome back locals and travelers alike, some Greater Victoria hotels and Vancouver Island resorts are inviting visitors to reconnect with their favourite places, or reconnect with friends and family at new places. You’ll likely be amazed at how much there is to explore and discover just round the corner.The iconic Fairmont Empress rolled out its red carpet last month. Also back is the Willow Stream Spa and outside on the grounds, thousands of bees in their hives.

The Snug has reopened for takeout and dine-in service for guests and/or reservations only. In addition, physically distanced events are in its David Foster Theatre, such as VIP Summer Screening, a series of classic and new released movies every Tuesday throughout the summer. Guests will have an exclusive experience as all of their spaces allow for a limited number of people.

Guests often feel like they are in a world of their own – cottages are actually on the edge of the ocean and some look directly down to “Orca Alley”. English pubs are reopening, but they won't be the sameEnglish pub managers will have to be resourceful come Saturday when they and other parts of the hospitality industry open their doors to customers for the first time since March 20, provided they meet COVID-19 safety requirements. Lived in England for 2 years. They only live for their pubs. So there's that. Pubs for young people, pubs for old people. The amount of boomers who embarras themselves drunkenly on the streets is astonishing.
