Oscars Oscars2020 Sorry to tell you folks, but 'The Irishman' is a (fiction) movie and depicts events. Viewers may consider the movie to be a factual accounting of history. As is the fact with many other 'accounts/stories', this one is also fiction. If they couldn't, what would be the point of voting? I watched it. Pure hubris. Being disappointed in this film doesn’t diminish the greatness of those involved. In fact, it makes their genius even more pronounced. The Irishman should be a great film. It is not.
