Totally agree. Best phone I’ve ever owned. Really wish Apple / AppleSupport would come out with a new version. I won’t be buying a new iPhone until they do. Some of us out here enjoy the size and well made construction.

I loved my SE. It started messing up so I had to get the 8. Still not too big.
Apple is run by the bean counters under Tim Cook. They could easily make an updated replacement for it, and make it profitable - just not profitable enough. It would negatively affect their average selling price.
And that’s why they killed it...
Easily the best, even given Apple's imposed limitations on it. Imagine if they had put the technology in there similar to rest of the lineup. Not sure what I'll get after my SE... it might end up marking an end to my 30+ year Apple-loyalty.

I've never quite understood why phones have cameras sticking out of them. Why not have a thicker case and use that space for a larger battery?

I'm in total agreement, although I must point out that the iPhone 6s came out in September 2015 and the iPhone SE came out in March 2016. (I will always regret not holding out and getting the SE.)
