The Home Front: Brazilian architect sees swimming pools as more than a place to cool off at home

Marques is a graduate of architecture and urbanism at the University of São Paulo and has designed residential and commercial spaces worldwide, from Miami to Lisbon to London. She’s designed many projects in Brazil that range from spectacular seaside homes to downtown real estate projects.

The swimming pools Marques designs are always an extension of a home’s living area, such as the Panorama House in São Paulo, a glass-sided swimming pool designed to be visible from the living room.Article content This apartment was designed for a couple who work in finance and are keen art collectors.
