Thailand's Cabinet on Tuesday approved a proposal from the Public Health Ministry that would allow health professionals, farmers and medical patients to grow, produce and export cannabis and its products.

Deputy government spokeswoman Trisulee Trisaranakul said Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul submitted a draft amendment to the Narcotics Act to expand access to medical cannabis in Thailand.

The existing law allows only government units and those who are involved in medical cannabis development with permission from the ministry to engage in such activities to develop medical knowledge in collaboration with the government. The draft will be sent to the Council of State for legal scrutiny and fine-tuning and then to Parliament for a vote.

Rollout of 'COVID Alert' app faces criticism over accessibilityThe federal government's COVID-19 contact tracing app is facing criticism for its download requirements, which restrict some Canadians from accessing and using the app. Over accessibility LOL no. Over its existence? Yes. 100% bet they’ll say oh you need this handy dandy bracelet if you haven’t got a phone so you’re not left out. (As they’ve done this in Italy) how stupid do you think people are LOLOL I understand the criticism of the app, however phone companies allow people to upgrade their old phones for free by signing up for a plan (which they likely already have) - people should look into the upgrade options available to them.
