Backed by four goals in extra time, TFCLive defeated DCU to reach the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Richie Laryea, Nick DeLeon and Jonathan Osorio, who completed a brace, wrapped up the victory in the first half of extra time after Lucas Rodriguez’s 93rd-minute equalizer for D.C. Marky Delgado opened the scoring for TFC.

TFC emerged victorious without forward Jozy Altidore and defender Omar Gonzalez, who both missed out on Saturday’s game due to injury. However, the Reds will have an added concern after centre-back Chris Mavinga limped off early in the second half of extra time. Toronto will now face the East’s top seed, New York City FC, on the road on Wednesday night in the conference semis. The winner of that match will progress to the Eastern Conference final on Oct. 30.

Wow! 'The four extra-time goals were an MLS record.' And the four goals in one extra-time half is an MLS record that will probably never be broken! I felt sorry for the D.C. keeper, who actually made some good stops. (Reminded me of Germany dismantling Brazil in 2014 WC.)
