Swipe Right: Best brands for Ken Block to pair with now he’s split from Ford — via drivingdotca autonews

It’s bittersweet, but the celebrity couple that should’ve been known as “Kord” is officially no more. After a glorious 11-year relationship, racer Ken Block and automaker Ford are calling it quits. Don’t worry, they’re on good terms — the kids should be just fine.

But now it’s time to move on and look to the future. We’re ready! In fact, we’ve already selected our suitors. Here are five brands we’d be pumped to see Ken Block pair up with now that he’s a free agent. Dodge: Because horsepower and RWDDodge has gone all in on the combination of raw horsepower and pure rear-wheel-drive, but its cars are not exactly known for their precision maneuverability. Save for a low-volume trim or two, the Charger and Challenger serve up their juice to the rear wheels, which is enough to get most people into trouble in aggressive corners.

A new GR Supra 3.0 would also work. Or an old Supra for that matter — perhaps something from its first generation to match the vintage of the Hoonicorn. Or even an old FJ Cruiser! We could definitely picture such a machine throwing dirt and sand around under Block’s control, perhaps filling the void left by the Hoonitruck.

Too many teams trying to throw guys in at 19-20 and expecting them to hit. While there are a number of players who have done that, more still need that time to learn the game and mature.
