Suzanne Hoffman appointed new CEO of BC School Trustees' Association

“We are thrilled she has decided to join us in the next phase of her celebrated career. She brings a wealth of experience as a gifted educator, making her a perfect fit for . We look forward to working with her to support B.C.’s boards of education at this critical time in K-12 education,” she said in a statement Wednesday.

Hoffman, who has served as superintendent of the Vancouver school board for the past 3 1/2 years, will replace association CEO Mike Roberts, who is retiring. Before joining the school board, Hoffman was chief educator and superintendent of learning transformation at the Ministry of Education.Hoffman will assume her new role toward the start of the next school year through a planned transition with Roberts.

“I’m looking forward to working with board, and boards of education across the province, as we enter a post-pandemic time of renewal and reconnecting. I am thankful for the opportunity and know that together we can collectively continue to support public education,” said Hoffman in a statement.
