U.S. Supreme Court

was making history Wednesday afternoon, holding arguments over the phone because of COVID-19, when all of a sudden there was the distinct sound of a toilet flushing. Across the country, the public that has never before this week been able to listen in real time to oral arguments held remotely was treated not only to deep questions related to the First Amendment and robocalls but also to someone's apparent bathroom break. The errant flush from an unknown source comes as the justices, lawyers and the country are dealing with the new realities -- and hazards -- of conducting their business over teleconference lines.

The case at issue concerned the Telephone Consumer Protection Act that prohibits unwanted calls to cellphones by use of an automated system. Challengers say one provision violates the Constitution. Lawyer Ramon Martinez, representing political groups challenging the law, was pressing his point when the offending flush occurred.Calls to the Supreme Court and the Justice Department were not immediately returned.

If only Trudeau had acted fast and decisively like South Korea, we would have a VERY LOW FLAT infection rate...the mess Canada is in is entirely attributed to Trudeau’s inability to LEAD and simply do NOTHING and follow the clueless WHO who believed EVERYTHING China told them!!!

If CTV thinks that is the most important aspect of the first telephone sitting of the US supreme Court, then their reporters had better go to the back of the grade 4 classroom with the other boys giggling about fart jokes.

Just like CTV CANADA'S BIGGEST EMBARRASSMENT..heard around the world ..

That was just the reverberating sound of alot of 'careers' going down the toilet. Seems there are bouts of verbal diarrhea happening all over the political spectrum.

Honestly, that’s where I do my best thinking too

.... K I'm really not surpised at all why you Canadian media companies need bailouts from the government to stay afloat. Shit like this...wow.

What special garbage need is this? Oh wait it’s CTV never mind.

Shitte.

Wasn’t this first reported over a month ago? Is reporting old news a thing now?

It's easy to get US news. Could you focus on Canadian news, since, you're a Canadian broadcaster?

What was heard was the right wing justices flushing common sense down the toilet...

Bitcoin is staging a comeback reminiscent of the 2017 bubble frenzyIn anticipation for a technical event that may be a new catalyst, Bitcoin has rallied to more than US$9,000 from around US$6,000 just a month ago To the moon! Step away from the ‘buy’ button. Don’t do it!!!! Don’t buy into the frenzy!!!! Still useless and will continue to be useless until, like Mark Cuban said, your grandma can use it. No one understands crypto currencies. It will continue to rise and crash over and over. Great news for speculators who get it when it’s cheap, but still fundamentally worthless.
