A Sudbury driver who was clocked at more than double the speed limit yesterday — because they were “just trying to get to the gym” — was slapped with a 30-day licence suspension and had their car impounded for 14 days.
“Now they’ll have to do some cardio to get to the gym ,” Sudbury Police wrote in a Wednesday post on X, formerly Twitter. “Lesson learned? Speeding is not a flex.” The social media post, which includes a photo of the unidentified car and the radar gun reading, says the vehicle was travelling at 103 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. This driver was caught at 103km/h in a 50km/h zone. Their reason? “I was just trying to get to the gym”. They received a 30-day licence suspension & 14-day vehicle impound.
