Strike averted after tentative agreement reached between TTC, trades workers: CUPE

"This agreement reflects a commitment to maintaining high standards of service for transit riders while also valuing the hard work that CUPE Local 2’s members perform every day," the statement read. Earlier this month, the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 113, which represents more than 10,000 transit workers in Toronto, said it had taken the "first step toward strike action" after contract talks with the TTC stalled.
