Stephen Lecce assures Ontarians that students will remain in class in person until June

Speaking with CP24 on Tuesday morning, Stephen Lecce said his office’s number one priority is to keep kids in school.

“All this is designed to keep these kids in school from September right to June without disruption with the full learning experience, which includes the clubs and sports.” However, despite being asked multiple times, Lecce would not say if there is a contingency plan in case of either a severe COVID-19 outbreak within a school or if the province experiences a significant rise of infection.

Hello what is the news today lol

I did not grow up in a family that relied on unions to provide safety to employees! But given working conditions going well beyond safety for all employees in the education sector, I will gladly support their striking this year! Students are last when you put educators last!

I find it telling that Lecce penned an op-ed for the Toronto Sun. The fact that he & his boss Doug.. always head for the worst excuse for a newspaper in Canada says all we need to know about the caliber of their governance.

Ford and Lecce must be really disappointed that schools opened today with no issues. So Lecce has to stir the pot a little more. .
