If you attended St. Charles College during the “Garson years,” i.e. from 1986 to 1993, you’re invited to a school reunion happening this weekend.
“The reunion is open to all alumni with a focus on remembering the seven years that the school was open in Garson,” said an email from organizers. “When it closed in June of 1993, it was the final year of the school being all boys. A new chapter began in September of 1993 at the current location on Falconbridge Road. All the staff who worked at the Garson location have now retired. Several will be in attendance at the reunion.
By 1993, as 14 portables sat in the back field, it was becoming clear once again that the Garson campus was not capable of handling the increasing demands on the school.
