Kings visit Alberni Valley Bulldogs Monday afternoon

The Prince George Spruce Kings suffered their fourth-straight B.C. Hockey League loss Saturday in Duncan, losing 4-3 to the Cowichan Valley Capitals.Gavin Giesbrecht fired a pair for the Caps, while Dryden Kuramotoa and Brock Cummings each fired singles. Cummings notched the gamewnner 10:05 into the period.Cody Butikis made 29 saves for Cowichan. Charlie Zolin took the loss in the Spruce Kings nets, stopping 31 of 35 shots.

The Capitals improved their seventh-place Coastal Conference record to 12-25-2-1. Prince George remained eighth in the Interior Conference. The Spruce Kings play Monday afternoon in Port Alberni against the third-place Alberni Valley Bulldogs . On Friday, the Spruce Kings announced that 19-year-old forward Owen Goodbrand has signed an NCAA commitment to Bentley University.
