When Ontario announced that its vaccine passport system would end March 1, Jan Campbell-Luxton sat down with his staff at the bakery he owns in St. Catharines to make a decision together. Would they continue to ask customers for proof of vaccination?
When Alberta announced last month that its restrictions exemption program, the province’s version of a vaccine passport, would be lifted as of Feb. 9, The Revue Cinema in Toronto will require proof of vaccination for all regular screenings and special events until April 4. One possible way businesses might overcome the either-or conundrum is by offering exclusive hours for vaccinated customers or patrons“The fundamental business problem is in their appeal to their customers, and that in turn depends on how their customers perceive the risks associated with being in a space with unvaccinated people,” he says.
Odd decision making.
If they're going to continue to discriminate, then I hope that they go out of business
Cause covid hasn't gone cause the government said March is our deadline, won't that be nice if covid just evaporated now wouldn't it
They’re science deniers !
Why ? The vaccinated are the ones in the hospital sorry to say/ untested mutation, i guess after 2 years the truth is slowly coming out / A D E is a dengue virus infecting millions killing. Thousands this is no joke
This is fucking disgusting and discriminatory. It needs to stop now.
YMCA still has it and I’m happy to comply.
And they are right to do so ! we are a small business with employees who need to be protected, and we do the same !
When you want to lose business
I hope these businesses go under.
When u r a business owner u have one place to operate and when u r a customer u have thousands of place to choose.
That’s cool. If you want or don’t want to spend your money there. That’s called choice. And it’s yours to make.
The gullibility of humanity never ceases to amaze.
Cue the redneckradicals.
I’ll be happy to patronize those establishments.
Not businesses I will go to
Shouldn't be allowed to discriminate against their customers. Businesses that didn't want to implement mandates weren't allowed to not do so. By that reasoning Businesses that want to continue mandates should not be allowed to do so. Before prov mandates it was determined illegal
Those are the ones I’m going to patronise bc i am immunocompromised
We’ll see how much they would rather make money over enforcing a useless policy really quick.
This is how it should have been done from the beginning. A private business has every right to enforce useless policies if it wants.
