Pull out the snow shovel because Environment Canada is warning Vancouver Island could see snow this week. In a weather alert, Environment Canada said snow could fall in Greater Victoria from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning and reappear later in the week.
In other areas, snow should be mixed with rain by Wednesday morning thanks to a strong southeast flow. Outflow winds through mainland inlets on Sunday night will lead to modified Arctic air covering Vancouver Island by Monday morning. The cold air will stick around until Tuesday when a low pressure system travelling down B.C.’s coast is anticipated to drop snow beginning that afternoon.
I just want to know if the overall forecast is for a harder, colder winter season, or a milder one overall. One or two-day storms or cold temperatures aren't the biggest concern.
