NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh seems to back off support for coalition government elxn43

Speaking to reporters on Sunday in Surrey, B.C., Singh said he would do “whatever it takes” to avoid a Conservative government, including working with Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau if the Conservatives win."We're not going to support a Conservative government," Singh said on Sunday. "We're going to fight a Conservative government, we're going to fight it all the way.”

While Trudeau has been pushing the idea that a vote for the Liberals is the only way to avoid Conservatives, Singh made it clear he hopes Canadians know there are more options. When asked about the prospect of forming a coalition with the NDP, Trudeau dodged the question and suggested the NDP would rip up the new NAFTA deal under this proposal.

“It’s the coalition Canadians can’t afford,” he said. “Only a Conservative majority government can prevent a government with Justin Trudeau as a spokesman, but the NDP calling the shots.”

ROFL 🤣 Too late the globalist cat is out of the cmmie bag.

I doubt it...he simply confirmed his intentions too soon. Jagmeet has alway proven to be Trudeau2.0.

If they form a coalition this presents an unfair voting process. There has already been over 2 million Canadians who have done the advance voting, and they had no idea if they voted NDP they’d be voting Liberal and vice versa. canadavotes election2019

He knows that he blew it hahaha Haha hahaha Haha hahaha Haha 🤮

Liberals TMX policy is incompatible with the NDP's policies and NDP's Quebec Bill 21 policy is incompatible with the Libs' need to pander to Quebec. Sounds like a match made in heaven.

The dumbest thing he could have did why would someone vote NDP if they are going support the liberals? Might as well vote for the liberals in the first place

Yeah, it's all a game!

It’s all just a shell game, right theJagmeetSingh ?

He lost my vote as soon as he talked about a coalition government with the crooked Liberals.

Of course he is backing off NOW. He realized after the fact that he just lumped himself in with the Trudeau Liberals and their downward spiral....too late now Jagmeet!

Singh should be ashamed, even thinking of joining the crooks in the Liberal gang.

Why? Because ya cant fix stupid.

This should have never been a thought in your head!!! I wish I heard this before today, i wouldn't have voted the way I did!!! Looks like I'm already regretting my decision!!!!

'Jussie Truedoh? Don't know him' as Jagmeet went

Dont believe him. That Alliance will decimate this country. Vote CPC.

Yeah he forgot he was supposed to keep that part of the plan under wraps until after the election

Another flip flop like cons Scheer

So now all the voters to NDP have to turn right to Sheer.

Look I'm perfectly clear on that. I have always been absolutely clear. Clarity is my vision. Yes, no, maybe, clear if necessary not necessarily clear, I mean, how could I be clearer than that. I am courageous & clear, clear & courageous, how many ways can I say the same thing!🤔

Jaggie your character is showing and u will say anything for votes. Cancel that beer

Not a leader!

Translation: Singh finally realized he's leader of the NDP.

theJagmeetSingh too late, you showed your true colours.

Never trust a commie

NDP will never win election. It is a small alternative to the rest. Only way to rule is to join liberals. They will loose some votes over that

The media will say anything to sway your vote. Ctv is as bad as CNN and fox. What ever happened to unbiased reporting. YOU ARE DISGUSTING REPORTERS. Pure evil

Can’t believe or trust anything the NDP or Libs day now or at any point of our history. This isn’t news.

‘Seems to back off’, WFT, are we supposed to believers him.

You realize that your own reporting shows no indication that he 'walked back his stance'? Does anyone bother reading what the reporters wrote before it is actually published?

Ohhhhh sure.....uh huh....You blew it! A vote for NDP is now a vote for Trudeau!

Just a loserJag tying your train to Trudeau!

He was being presumptuous. No one has yet asked for his support.

Flip flop is what he does, do we want this for the future of our children, he is behaving like “I will take from the rich and feed the poor”. If he thinks that is possible our economy will fail and the business houses will move. Canadians wake up. This is a comical character.

StopTheSocialistCoalition If there is a recession, Canada may not recover as theJagmeetSingh and ElizabethMay tax hikes send businesses and investors scurrying for the border. My Canada includes AB and SK TrudeauMustGo

Too late you said it theJagmeetSingh

That’s the smell of desperation...

Boxed into a corner, NDP refuses to work with CONSERVATIVES and LIBERALS don’twant their help?

I wonder how many points he lost for that.

In short, Mr. Singh does not believe in democracy. He realized his initial statement was moronic. Mr. Singh is not fit to lead a nation.

Over confidence will be his downfall. He'll be 3rd place and have to feather his nest with whatever party gets the gov't. Last thing he wants to do is force an election.

It would mean voting NDP equals voting liberal_party ! Why then not give up campaign and just have liberal_party vs CPC_HQ?

My farts stink less than some diplodinks/politicians breath!

Too late. Shouldn’t have said it first. You just created your own hole and fell in.

Comical. cdnpoli

Which ever way the winds blowing.

Goes with the wind

Does anyone hear what dumb and Dumber has to say. NDP and liberals are both useless

First he said he likes poutine Now its more like waffles No matter He will be replaced soon after the election anyway

Singh walks fine line on TMX pipeline and possible Liberal coalitionNDP Leader Jagmeet Singh tried to strike a precarious balance Sunday between his opposition to the Trans Mountain pipeline and the mounting possibility of a coalition with Justin Trudeau's Liberals. We need that expansion. Revenue to transition. None of the left wing parties are going to make any pipelines, they are more concerned with their climate buddies That's a lie! He is totally against TMX and all pipelines. Trudeau has also confirmed TMX is the last pipeline he will approve.
