Katelyn Roberts is executive director of Sanctum Care Group, which operates a home for pregnant women who are HIV positive or at-risk of having their baby apprehended because of addictions or homelessness.
Roberts says Saskatchewan's Ministry of Social Services didn't support the initiative and requested that it be put on hold to study whether the service was needed. Police have said they believe the infant was a newborn, and investigators are looking for the mother who they say may be physically and emotionally vulnerable.
Those women should be in jail not helped in committing crimes.
Thank God there are people who still choose to keep their children. I cannot imagine how difficult this must be for these mothers, and in some cases, their fathers too.

How do they plan on contacting or including the fathers ? Just because the mother wishes to abandon their child doesn’t mean the father does.
Rewarding cowardly actions isn't how we advance our society
Not a new idea, baby boxes have been around since the 12th century when they were called foundling wheels.
This is a wonderful idea and hope it comes to fruition.
