Dawn Walker says she previously filed domestic abuse reports with Saskatoon police and RCMP and has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder. She says the police services did nothing to assist her.

Dawn Walker, 48, was the subject of an extensive missing persons search after she disappeared with her son about two weeks ago. She was found and arrested in Oregon City on Friday and has been detained in the U.S. since.

Walker's friend, Eleanore Sunchild, recorded Walker's statement during a visit at the Multnomah County Jail in Portland on Monday. Walker said she was "failed by the Saskatchewan Justice system, the family law system and child protection." "So many women and children before us have had to run for their lives to protect their children. The SPS and RCMP only cared when they thought I was dead and the pressure they were under because of their blatant failures.

"I apologize to anyone I hurt. I was left with no choice. No one heard me. I love my son so very much. He is my only child...I was motivated out of my immense love for [him]," she said.

Fleeing the country illegally? She has watched too many movies. woof

Another it’s not my fault. And she blames the colonial police service for not helping her. Too bad she didn’t devote some of that time and energy faking her death and stealing identities to getting help herself.

Just because the SaskatoonPolice didn't find any wrong doing with Walker's concerns doesn't mean that there wasn't. The Toronto Police did an investigation to see if a serial killer was at work. They determined there was not, even though there was one.

Jason Warick, Kendall Latimer RCMPSK SaskatoonPolice Andrew Jansen said: 'would never hurt Dawn or [son]. There's no truth to any of that, and that's all I can say.' 'Never' does not mean no. There's more he could say. Etc. Statement Analysis: DECEPTION INDICATED ⚠ .

Shame on her for what she did to her family, the boys father and wasting police resources! Sounds like a liar now trying to blame the system and the fact she has PTSD & is indigenous. Anyone can report anything, doesn’t necessarily mean it happened.

Get's caught staging a disappearance costing her community while kidnapping a child to flee to another country & she's the victim...because it's 2022!!! Cry wolf.

Police don't do much. Except fill traffic quotas and be Trudeau's Hench men at allowing scandals. I stopped trusting in 99% of police. They are robots.

So, the police did 'nothing', family services did 'nothing' and the courts made her the non-custodial parent. So her response was to take her child, against court orders, fake her disappearance, and go hide in another country, without letting her family and friends know?

Another instance of the bias against fathers in todays society. She needs to be charged to the fullest extent of the law and she should never see her son again unsupervised

Give her life in prison for abducting her son.

She should have said her husband was anti-vax.

Perhaps CBC should investigate why she did not have custody of the child. It might add balance to the picture. Courts still tend to be sympathetically biased in the mother's favour, so what lies behind her not having custody?

Why did she or the father not have custody of the children ?

Lock her up.

she is right ?

This is typical. Cops & Courts always give benefit of doubt to man & 'his rights', NEVER to woman or to Child; NEVER get proper assessment of 'in Child's best interest'.

I, for one, would like to hear this woman's story. I believe she has something to say.

A woman doesn't fake her own death and that of her child then illegally enters another country just for the thrill of it. Damn straight she was a victim of abuse! Sask. Police don't protect women or children, evident by current amber alert in the province.

Former Sask. private school students allege being 'coerced' into working on political campaigns | CBC NewsSome students who attended Saskatoon’s Christian Centre Academy (now called Legacy Christian Academy) say the leaders of the adjacent church that ran the independent school used religion to coerce them into campaigning for conservative candidates during and outside of class. One of those politicians confirms it’s true, but says school and church policies have since changed. ‘’Despite the school and adjacent church being registered charities, students say a wide range of partisan political activity was conducted during school hours and during church services.’’ stphnmaher Now do unions stphnmaher While this may occur at some more extreme churches, it has NEVER been my experience to see anything like this among churches in Canada. A thankfully rare exception here in this article.

People will do anything for a buck nowadays As sad as this story is its not national news. Young, healthy people dropping dead in unprecedented numbers is what should be talked about.
