Early registration now open for annual event on Sunday June 9

The 25th annual run kicks off on June 9 at the Delta Hotel. The registration fee of $40 supports both local health charities, and includes your numbered bib, light post-race refreshments, and qualifies you for division race prizes. Those registered by May 29 will also receive a 2024 run t-shirt.

With just one week left for get the “early bird” rate and qualify for a technical running shirt, register now for Run the Great Lakes presented by Cintas. You don’t have to be fast - you can jog or even walk your way to the finish line at either the Great Lakes Honda 5K, or the Canadian Tire 10K. The registration fee of $40 supports both local health charities, and includes your numbered bib, light post-race refreshments, and qualifies you for division race prizes.

Families and kids of all ages are invited to participate in the Northern Credit Union Kids Run. Register your child for a 1K or 2K distance for only $20, which includes a 2024 run t-shirt! Enjoy family-friendly activities as well, including water sprinklers, bean-bag toss, sidewalk chalk, “tattoo” table and lots of food, prizes, and giveaways.

“As a group we are really excited to offer up this year’s Run the Great Lakes. We have raised over $150,000 for great causes over a couple of decades, and had fun doing it. This is just getting bigger and better. We now also offer a super kids event, and welcome all to join us.

Run the Great Lakes is the premier walking and running event in Sault Ste Marie for the last 25 years: last year over 500 runners joined in!
