Rick Bowness is out as Stars head coach following their first-round exit at the hands of the Flames.

after nearly three seasons in which he led them to the Stanley Cup Final and the playoffs again this season.

General manager Jim Nill said assistant coaches John Stevens, Derek Laxdal and Todd Nelson also would not return.
