The polls got it fairly accurate in 2016. HRC won the popular vote by almost 3m. 2016 showed a lot of undecided, they swung to Trump and took the battleground states. There are substantially fewer undecided in 2020. If you haven't made up your mind about this guy, you're asleep.

I've been watching way too much news from the United States I haven't heard one report or panel where people had full confidence in the polls. The whole shooting match comes down to a half dozen states so no one is banking on them.
The media is more confident because fewer voters have said they will vote for a third party. 2020 is more of a two way race. They are also more confident because a larger number of voters have either already voted or they are not going to change their mind.

In 2016, state level polling missed white non college voters. National polls were within the margin of error. 2020- Biden has double HRCs national lead, up or tied in way more states, larger leads in state polls. Over 50% Way less undecideds and 3rd party. National Post is trash.

The polls were pretty accurate for popular vote. They did not fine down the distribution of the vote to reflect the electoral college. I think they ARE taking that into account this time, but you literally need to look at each district, and that is where the gerrymandering is!

Because Rex doesn't understand probability. The polls weren't 'so wrong' there was a reasonably sized polling error similar to 2012 but in the key states. 538 gave Trump a 30% chance to win. That is really high. Higher than flipping a coin and it landing heads 2x in a row.
