Reports say Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant consider teaming up Globe_Sports

Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard have discussed signing free-agent deals with the same team, according to a report Saturday from ESPN.

The possible combination of Mr. Durant and Mr. Leonard adds a new level of intrigue as the NBA’s signing period opens Sunday evening. The most likely scenarios for the pair to play together would be with the New York Knicks or Los Angeles Clippers, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported. Mr. Durant reportedly plans to meet with four teams — the Knicks, Clippers, Brooklyn Nets and Golden State Warriors. Mr. Leonard’s list is expected to include the Knicks, Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers and Toronto Raptors. In the days leading up to free agency, rumors have swirled about various combinations of superstars.

Multiple reports have indicated that Brooklyn could be interested in a package of Mr. Durant and point guard Kyrie Irving. Other reports have linked Mr. Leonard with the Lakers, where he could join LeBron James and Anthony Davis. It is also possible that both players could return to their most recent teams. Mr. Leonard’s Raptors held off Mr. Durant’s Warriors in this year’s NBA Finals, during which Mr. Durant tore his Achilles tendon in Game 5. He is expected to miss most, if not all, of next season.

Globe_Sports BS reports.... would be stupid given health situations.

Globe_Sports That would be dumb on Kawhi's part. KD is on the shelf for at least a year and nobody knows what kind of player he will be when healthy again. I don't think this is happening.

Globe_Sports Durant supposed to miss all or most of 2019-20 season. Something doesn’t smell right here!

Globe_Sports And just like that, he was gone

How the Raptors will pitch to Kawhi to stay in Toronto - Sportsnet.caNBA colunmist Mitch Lawrence breaks down what the Raptors will do in order to pitch Kawhi to stay in Toronto. Mitch_Lawrence Shut up lol Mitch_Lawrence Get Kyle Dubas to show his presentation. Mitch_Lawrence Raps should leave Kawai alone in a room. Dim lights. Have highlights of the playoffs and parade. Lights turn on. There is a briefcase with 190 million on the table, the Larry O' Brien trophy, and a paper to sign. A timer with the same amount of time he was left in Game 7.

6 reasons Raptors should blow up roster if Kawhi Leonard leaves - Sportsnet.caIf Kawhi Leonard does say good bye to the Raptors, Masai Ujiri should tear it all down. Disagree? Here are six reasons why there is no other alternative. donnovanbennett Uhhh, They still won A LOT when Kawhi sat the 20+ games last year... it's not blow up time yet donnovanbennett Why blow up the roster when it can be blown up in a year anyway. With the salaries on the Raptors, you won't get much in return anyway for the players you'd trade away or would have to take on salary. Only two players are under contract after this year. donnovanbennett Instead of seeing if the young core can step up and get to a conference final without kawhi, nope , we gotta tear it all down before they even raise a banner. What a moron.
