Strip doctors of incentive to order unnecessary medical tests, report urgesA new report says many Canadians are undergoing many unnecessary medical tests, with a resulting cost to the health-care system potentially running in the billions of dollars every year. Patients demanding inappropriate tests are not useful either. Perhaps face time and real talk between patient and doctor should be valued. What about doctors not testing at all. I’ve had 3 different doctors pole my back with a finger and tell me “ohh it’s just a muscle strain” 2 years later and it’s still in pain.... Translation: Our healthcare system can not sustain doctors being thorough. Screening and ruling out disease is bad, waiting for obvious terminal signs is good. Keep importing people who don't pay their share into the system and squeeze us out of anything resembling quality care.
