Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is emerging as a leading candidate for the USC head coach position, according toBieniemy has reportedly told people close to him that the only head coaching position he would take in college is USC.
USC needs to fill its head coach vacancy after the program fired Clay Helton on Sept. 13, after the Trojans' 42-28 loss to Stanford. Bieniemy started with the Chiefs in 2013 as a running backs coach. He spent four years in that position, before being promoted to offensive coordinator. In his current role, Bieniemy helped coach an electric offense, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs qualified for three straight AFC Championship Games, back-to-back Super Bowls, and won Super Bowl LIV under Bieniemy's leadership as offensive coordinator., and avoid posting profanity, personal attacks or harassment.
