At least 76 homes in the town of Port aux Basques are destroyed or structurally damaged due to Hurricane Fiona. Long Range Mountains MP and Minister of Rural and Economic Development Gudie Hutchings provided the update yesterday.

Other homes in the area are compromised and considered too dangerous to enter, while others are inaccessible for what Mayor Button calls “obvious” reasons. He referenced a program put in place years ago to move people in Badger from areas which were prone to flooding.

What a headline. No shit Sherlock

Politicians lol what a joke just like the leader captain socks

What a brilliant analysis 🙄

If Furey had stayed in the province for the hurricane & skipped the dedication of the Caribou Memorial statue in Turkey, many would have accused him of not honoring our veterans. The hate in the comments is embarrassing.

water is wet.

Took The Goverment of Today 2 Full day to see what N.S and P.E.I where doing and on the 3rd day he shows up and on the 4th day he finally got a phone line hooked up

then do something andy, you're a wind bag, you'll sit on your arse taking up space with free pressers/photo ops waiting for someone else to step in and then you'll get in front of the camera's and say look what I did. You just don't care about the people of NL,that much is clear

All that matters is that Atlantic Canadians need help. Period. To hell with politics or followers or popularity. Contribute to help our neighbours is something instilled in all of us from the cradle. So do it.

life’s journey &memories wipe out in a flash as Newfoundlanders we will pull up our bootstraps and come together as history has shown we come together and help one another get back on our feet it might take time but down the road we will look back and say well my son we done it🙏
