Shero doesn't care if Zacha considers signing in KHL. MORE:

BUFFALO, N.Y. — New Jersey Devils general manager Ray Shero says he is still attempting to sign centreamid concerns the former first-round draft pick will play in the Kontinental Hockey League this season.

Shero says he's unaware if Zacha has signed with a KHL team, though he adds that possibility was raised by the player's agent during a recent conversation. Zacha's agent, Patrik Stefan, did not immediately respond to several messages from the AP seeking comment.

Shero:

If guys want to go let them go. They will quickly realize it isn’t even close to the NHL in quality of play or treatment. Eventually they all attempt to comeback. There is always another young player hungry for a roster spot.
