Quebec Premier Francois Legault responds to reporters questions as the government announces measures against COVID-19 on Saturday.
“In other countries was exponential. It could be exponential here,” Premier Francois Legault said on Sunday. “What we are doing will save lives.” Quebec Premier Francois Legault is asking businesses where people gather like bars, gyms, libraries and ski hills to shut down, with a caveat that restaurants can stay open but limit their crowds to 50%.Premier Legault used the word "ask" several times before a journalist asked Public Health Director Horacio Arruda point blank if this was a recommendation or an order.Restaurants are being allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity, with clients seated with an empty table between them.
