Williams’ injuries were initially labelled as serious but non-life-threatening, which the review found did impact EMS response time. Betty Ann Williams, 86, died after she was attacked by three dogs in a northwest Calgary alley on June 5, 2022.“This challenge wasn’t created overnight and it’s going to take us time to get there,” said Copping. “It’ll be a lot of little changes across our entire system that are going to fix it, and quite frankly, more are coming.”
