THE CANADIAN PRESS/Hans DerykLONDON -- Prince William has spoken candidly about the death of his mother, Princess Diana, describing his bereavement as a "pain like no other pain."
Speaking in a BBC documentary on mental health, William also says that his time working as an air ambulance pilot gave him the impression that death was just "around the door," and the thoughts had become a problem until he spoke with someone. The comments were part of a discussion about personal struggles that William shared with soccer stars Peter Crouch, Thierry Henry, Danny Rose, Jermaine Jenas and England's manager Gareth Southgate.
Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry, have championed the cause of addressing mental health issues, hoping their frank admissions on their own struggles will encourage others in need to seek help.
William was speaking in an event advocating for MENTAL HEALTH which he’s supporting using his voice & high influence to help millions of people. This topic shows he’s just like anyone with mental pain. If only people will READ & be kind before they judge & write comments below!
Let it go CTV, Diana’s death is a tragic footnote in history. Your daily preoccupation with Buckingham palace is annoying & belongs on etalk or other celebrity news shows. Your name is CTV - N E W S
Her poor sons such a tragic death...she was amazing❤
Loosing a parent is painful. Regardless of who you are. Loosing a parent as a public figure only shines a light on the living. Holding the hand of my mother as she was dying was a pain like no other. Loosing my father suddenly was a pain like no other.
