The Sault's Colin Miller is on the move again, this time to a Stanley Cup contender loading up for a long playoff run.
The veteran NHL defenceman — and former captain of the Soo Greyhounds — was dealt Friday from the New Jersey Devils to the Winnipeg Jets, one of the top teams in the western conference.Miller, 31, had four goals and four assists with the Devils in 41 games this season. Drafted in 2012, he has also played for the Boston Bruins, Vegas Golden Knights, Buffalo Sabres and Dallas Stars, collecting a career total of 39 goals and 126 assists.
Could this be his year? If Miller does end up hoisting the Cup, it would be the second year in a row for a local hockey product. Last season, fellow Saultite Michael Amadio was a member of the Vegas team that won it all.
