\u0022They glued their hands to the goal posts ... Both were arrested and charges will be recommended to Crown counsel,\u0022 said VPD

That’s proving to be less and less so at B.C. Place Stadium. Since April there have been two instances of people rushing the field unimpeded.

And on Thursday, two protestors from the Save Old Growth movement ran on to the field during a CONCACAF Nations League game between Canada and Curaçao. The protesters attempted to glue themselves to the goal posts. They even ran past a security official after they vaulted the barrier between the stands and the playing surface.“They glued their hands to the goal posts, but officers were able to remove them before the glue set.

“I didn’t say anything to them. I just looked and then I told the Curaçao guy to just leave them. But I guess he just wanted to play the game. So I didn’t say anything to them,” Davies said after the game.
