CHEKMounties say investigators have identified a vehicle that’s believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run that occurred near Courtenay on Thursday night.
A passerby was the first person to spot the injured man, and called 911 for help. Despite the best efforts of bystanders and paramedics, the man ultimately died after being transported to hospital.On Friday morning, police asked the public for help identifying the car involved in the hit-and-run.“Investigators have located the suspect vehicle involved in the collision and are continuing to process the evidence collected so far,” said RCMP in a statement.
