Montreal police are investigating after a driver struck a baby in its stroller in a hit and run last week. Video from a nearby surveillance camera appears to show the car speeding up while the woman pushing the stroller was still crossing the intersection.

Montreal police are investigating after a driver struck a baby in its stroller in a hit and run last week. The video shows the black vehicle driving north-bound on Bloomfield Ave. in the Outremont borough around 2:30 p.m. As it approached the intersection with Lajoie Ave., the car didn't slow down, despite stop signs and a woman crossing with a baby carriage.

Penalties for killing pedestrians or cyclists are incredibly minor. Unless you are drunk you get a wrist slap, been that way since post WWII.

That is just aweful. So many people in this world just plain suck.
