There was nobody inside the home at the time. Police believe the incident was accidental, and the shot was likely a stray rifle round that may have been fired by a hunter from a distant wooded area.Police reminded the public of the Regulations under the Provincial Wildlife Act, which prohibit a person from discharging a firearm within 1,000 metres of a school, playground or athletic field or within 300 metres of a residence.
