Ottawa residents were told to avoid travelling downtown as demonstrators geared up for their second full day on local streets and trucks snarled numerous roads

Police are also investigating threatening behaviour toward police city workers and other individuals, as well as damage to a city vehicle.

The rally roiling the capital’s downtown has disrupted social services and blocked road access to their shelter, Freiheit said. The protest has been “exceptionally disruptive” for people who live downtown, said Catherine McKenney, a city councillor who represents Ottawa’s core. “However, at some point we need assurances that we’re not going to allow our city and our downtown to be seized and to push out others and make people frightened to live and move about in their own neighbourhoods.”

She said she would not want this protest in her backyard, and was picking up trash left behind on streets.

The demonstration was initially aimed at denouncing vaccine mandates for truck drivers crossing the Canada-U.S. border, but the movement has morphed into a protest against a variety of COVID-19 restrictions and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government.

The police took a oath of allegiance to protect the citizens if the charter of rights and freedoms are broken this oath was not made to the governments it was made to protect the citizens from corruption

Probably spray painted by the CBC

They also said that nothing has been done wrong.

Losing control of the narrative?

The fringe elements of this protest are no worse and no better than the violent fringe elements of the Idle No More (and other similar) protests.

drummed up charges

Wait! Is that the vandalized and beheaded statue of John A McDonald in the left corner of the picture? You know, the one was taken down by the Leftist loonies while the Montreal police stood by and watched.

Here is the real news

That kind of behaviour is normal for downtown Ottawa. What a wretched place.

I think it's gone beyond 'investigation' and arrests should now be made.

Hey at least they're not burning churches down, because that would be understandable.

We have already turned conservatives against the media for the most part, now it's time to turn them against the Police

Tyranny must be defeated

Calgary and Edmonton COVID-19 wastewater readings trending downward | CBC NewsThe data from a dashboard created by the University of Calgary Centre for Informatics show the average amount of COVID-19 detected in wastewater has trended downwards since a peak on Jan. 11 in Calgary. Ignoring the convoy. What a great look for an alledged news organization. RosieBarton, this goes on the pile of why public trust of the CBC is so low since you seem to be a bit confused by the idea when it comes up. Well , for once your reporting on sewage instead of dispensing it. That's a step in the right direction, I guess CBC NEWS IS A JOKE🤣
