Everyone I know who cares that Leslyn Lewis and Pierre Poilievre weren't at the debate isn't a card carrying CPC member. Every card carrying CPC member who I know, already knows who they're going to vote for and their absence made no difference.

Charest hasn't brought much to the leadership race (other than helping sell the story that Reform is a 'big tent' party), but he did solid work here. It's good to call out Poilievre for ignoring the bulk of 'conservative' voters, running on nothing but slogans.

The 2nd debate was a gong show, and there was nothing new to learn from each candidate other than to have them repeat what they had already said. If the LEOC thought 3 debates were required, it should have been laid out upfront, not at the request of Charest's failing campaign.

Most of votes have already been submitted,no one cared about this debate which I’m sure the ratings will confirm,and Charest will probably run as a Liberal in the next election.
If the recent US election is any indication, Pierre's massive popularity and Charests inability to draw crowds bigger than 12 people means Charest stands to win with approximately 81 million votes.
He doesn’t need to. Huawei Charest has already lost and he’s trying to bring his campaign back from the scrap heap. PP doesn’t need to help him do that.

When Charest loses not if he he be gone and never heard of again. At least not in the Conservative party.
If you don't participate in debates, you should have to forfeit your campaign. It's part of the democratic process, and if you are not willing to stand up and speak about your plans/platform, then you should pack it in.
