Officials with the Christmas Hampers Program in the Kingston and Greenwood area are hard at work preparing for Christmas.KINGSTON, N.S. — Organizers of the Christmas Hampers Program in the Kingston and Greenwood area want to help more than 100 families this year but need a little help.
A community toy drive will take place Friday, Dec. 2, 6-8 p.m., during the Santa Comes to Kingston celebration at the Credit Union Centre. A stuff-a-truck toy drive will take place Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Superstore parking lot from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Toys or monetary donations can be dropped off to the village offices in Kingston and Greenwood until Dec. 9. The Kingston office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday while the Greenwood office is open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday.Applications for Christmas Hampers are available at Greenwood Sobeys and Kingston Pharmasave until Nov. 30.
