Ontario logs 3,056 new COVID-19 cases, 51 deaths Saturday

Protesters stand outside a long-term care home in Toronto during a rally to demand the facility invest more on resident care and staff safety amid the coronavirus outbreak, on Jan. 10, 2021.Ontario says it’s slightly slowing the pace for some COVID-19 vaccinations in response to a shipping delay from drugmaker Pfizer BioNTech.

Williams says long-term care residents, caregivers and staff who already received their first dose of Pfizer’s vaccine will receive their second dose between 21 and 27 days later, no more than a week longer than originally planned. He says the timetable will be longer for anyone else receiving the Pfizer vaccine, with second doses being delivered anywhere from 21 to 42 days after the initial shot.

Some of those regions are among those targeted by a government blitz of big box stores which got under way on Saturday. Labour Minister Monte McNaughton has said inspectors will focus on compliance with masking and physical distancing rules, as well as other health guidelines. He said they’ll have the authority to temporarily shut down facilities found to be breaching the rules, and to disperse groups of more than five people.

Seniors more like SCENEiors

Ontario needs to step on the gas for vaccinations as currently it’s at snail pace. BC already has a large scale plan to vaccinate all its people by fall.

There are other vaccines approved. China has one or two, Russia one and other on the way. Why is govt so against these that it has not even asked for samples to look at and evaluate them? What if they are as good and available by millions, right now.

'...the company’s decision to temporarily delay international vaccine shipments..' No one's going to ask why they are making this decision?

Vaccine doses for residents and staff...disaster if one gets and the others don't get vaccine at the same time.

So they've made a 'decision' to delay shipments... Wonder if it has anything to do with this 👇

Breaking news! the government doesn't care about you. Never did, never will.

In other breaking news, the sun will set tonight.

But...the private sector always does it better...

Those in jail are fine though...

Given this goes against the directions of the manufacturer fordnation should face criminal charges for endangering human lives.
