The same exact post with different commentary. - Desperation often begets poor choices and, if ~$50K before taxes is “life changing,” then OP is quite desperate. And that’s unfortunate. What’s even more of a travesty is losing sight of what a gift means to the point they are dismayed they were s**t down by family members, but also thinking redditors were going to side with their obtuse & inconsiderate ideas on gifting.
