Peel police charged three suspects on Wednesday in connection to an armed robbery at an electronics store that took place in Brampton on Tuesday.
Police said on May 16 that four suspects entered an electronics store near Kennedy Road South and Clarence Street in Brampton with a handgun and robbed the store of some equipment. The suspects fled in a vehicle waiting outside with stolen license plates. The store employees did not sustain any physical injuries.
Within an hour, Peel police said, investigators arrested three suspects in the area of Jane Street and Finch Avenue in Toronto. Peel officers recovered a replica handgun and stolen property valued at approximately $50,000.A 19-year-old man from Mississauga, a 18-year-old man from Toronto and a 19-year-old man from Toronto have all been charged with robbery, using an imitation firearm and wearing a disguise with intent.
The 19-year-old man from Mississauga was also charged with failure to comply with a release order. According to police, he had recently been released on a recognizance order stemming from previous charges of robbery, wearing a disguise with intent, failure to comply with release order and possession of stolen property — all on multiple counts.Officers are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact investigators with the Central Robbery Bureau at 453-2121 ext. 3410.
