In the spring of 2023, the Canadian Health Food Association officially launched the Save Our Supplements campaign. This campaign, which began as a response to Health Canada's many regulatory changes to the natural health products industry, remains one of the most active grassroots campaigns with the highest number of engaged Canadians in recent history.

A gender-based analysis was also sorely missing, failing to recognize the disproportionate effects that these changes would have on women and women-led businesses in the sector. The current proposal has attempted to reduce the rates charged to industry.
