It maybe true except for seniors, the government is reluctant to discuss any assistance to seniors, just look at LTC as an example. They rolled out the vaccine for seniors by age and before they got to the seniors that were not in LTC every body else wanted it, whole cities.

UBI has not been very successful in other parts of the world - UBI to have any success, then it needs to be tied to outcomes like employment with higher wages through training & education. It should never be permanent for anyone!
