Parks Canada says no camping, group activities on-site until June, at least

As part of the ongoing push to keep people at home to limit the spread of COVID-19, all events at national parks, national historic sites, heritage canals and national marine conservation areas are suspended until May 31, "at least."

Ironically, we love camping for the tranquility and isolation. Camping has been the 'original' way to social distance long before social distancing became something that everyone's supposed to do.

1) no one goes camping before June unless they want to get snowed in anyway so this isn’t a big deal 2) they tried keeping parks open in March and everyone crowded into them, left trash all over the place, and in some cases literally shit in the parking lots, so yeah good call

I don't know of anyone camping in May in the Maritimes unless they are young and adventurous. We had frost in June in the past two years. They better not close our Parks.

Can’t wait for our promised camping voucher. It will come in handy when the economy is completely dead and we all live in tents. Could you ask when we can expect our camping voucher and the 25% off our cell bills. I’m sure a lot of us could use a break in that bill right now.
