I’ve only had to work at night because schools keep closing and I have a full time job and now play teacher. Balancing work needs means keeping schools OPEN.

Me if I don't disconnect, my boss will give me a NDA review. Like he's saying you guys work hard when it's vacation time or time to unplug don't want to see you guys on-line or answering e-mails

I don’t think they should be legally allowed to call you unless your actively being paid , with only exceptions for calling someone to work on a day off. Otherwise you should never work without compensation , nor be forced to work outside your hours even with compensation

Employees at my place of work don’t need to make these choices because we were mandated back to work in September. Attendance is mandatory. It’s like 2019.

Here’s the LAW that should be in place. If a call comes in after 8 the employer must pay immediately on answer of the call 4 full hours of wages. If they call again in the next 15 min. 5 hours. If they call again 6. S anything after midnight is a full days wages.

Keeping employees on a 24/7 tether is abusive.

So basically you want your employer to be flexible with your personal time, but want laws to say you never have to give it back later. Essentially, the union dream of having people F the dog all day, do as little as work as possible, but get full pay and ridiculous benefits.
