“When I got the opportunity, it was something I was really excited about. Playing for UPEI, it’s the only university in the province, so you really do have the support from all the Island, which is really nice. Getting to play in front of my friends and family is so special.” “It’s a great atmosphere and walking out on that field. ... For home openers, we always have a big crowd, and I’m looking forward to that.”

“What we look for them to do is uphold the standards that we have set for the team and educate the young players and help them learn and grow,” said Panthers head coach Lewis Page. Martell played youth soccer with the Montague-based Eastern Eagles until age 13, when she joined the P.E.I. FC provincial program.
