P.E.I.’s Eastern Stars go undefeated in round-robin play at Atlantic U18 AAA female hockey championship

Everything to know about the April 8 eclipse in Atlantic Canada | SaltWire #eclipse | SaltWireCORNER BROOK, N.L. — The Down East Auto Parts Eastern Stars capped a perfect round-robin record at the 2024 2024 Atlantic under-18 AAA female hockey championship in Corner Brook, N.L.

The Stars trimmed the host Western Warriors 10-3 on April 6 to improve to 4-0-0 . The Stars clinched first place with a 1-0 win over the defending-champion Northern Subway Selects from Nova Scotia on April 5.Those same two teams will meet in the championship game at the Corner Brook Civic Centre on April 7 at 11:30 a.m., Atlantic Time.Emily Gardiner led the Stars with four goals and two assists to take over the scoring lead in the five-team tournament with 10 points, including seven goals.

Abby Dingwell , Renée Chapman , Bella Fitzpatrick , Ellie Mullins, Reese Baker and Taylor Hunter also scored for the Stars. Emily Lutley , Sophie McKeigan, Miah Lawlor and Cassie Gordon contributed helpers.Winning goaltender Olivia Lowe stopped 17 of 20 shots.
